Yes, you are not technically signed up for our services until you have completed your tax organizer. Your team will not know to complete an extension for you if you do not complete your organizer

As a business owner, the accuracy of your Profit and Loss (P&L) statement directly impacts the accuracy of your tax return. An accurate P&L minimizes back-and-forth communication and ensures a smoother tax process. Please ensure completeness of your P&L prior to submitting. (Similar for Schedule E)

Tax season is busy. Our preparers try to respond to all communication in 24-48, but that may not always be possible while trying to keep returns running in a timely manner. While preparers may not always meet the 48-hour response time, it is best to email your advisor team directly with specific questions to ensure prompt communication.

We’ll still accept documents and returns after April 1st, but any non-complete return (i.e. missing documents) or any return submitted after April 1 (March 1st for businesses) will go on automatic extension. We will then work on a best efforts basis to get it done before the initial deadline or provide you an estimate of any taxes owed. Any return we are still working on after April 1st is likely to get a protective extension as well to ensure there is no failure to file penalties.
